Case Study: Wicked Day Block Party

Objective:

  • Give back to WICKED fans via creation of large scale block party event to culminate month long promotional activity
  • Create fun, exciting custom activities that are engaging for families
  • Hold tri-state singing contest finale and award winner

Strategy:

  • Shut down 51st Street in Manhattan outside Gershwin Theater for 1 day
  • Built a “WICKED” experience for event attendees with 10 customized areas including: welcome station, singing contest stage with stage and AV, arts and crafts, face painting, games, food, digital picture station with custom picture cutouts
  • Created separate areas for merchandise sale, sponsor areas
  • Worked with Z100 to develop script for MC

Results:

  • Average of 1000 event attendees at WICKED Day
  • PR worthy – event had press coverage
  • WICKED fans had a dynamic experience
